You can prevent weight gain or boost weight loss if you take tea or coffee with caffeine. But it is not sure that increased use of caffeine can help you in permanent weight loss. There are some studies made of caffeine and weight done on animals give poor results. There can be some modest changes in weight with the decaffeinated coffee which show that there are some other substances along with caffeine as well which play an important role in the weight loss.

Caffeine is a stimulant and if you take it too much then it can cause nervousness, insomnia and other problems. There is also high calories and fat in some of the caffeinated beverages which can increase your weight instead of losing it.
Bitter orange
Bitter orange is very effective for the weight loss. The ephedra was taken off the market due to which consumers and manufacturers of weight loss supplements started to use its alternatives and bitter orange is a good alternative. Bitter orange is a common ingredient of the weight loss supplements with ephedra free. There can be some health problems occur with ephedra and also with bitter orange.
There is synephrine and octopamine found in the bitter orange which is similar to eohedrine in ephedra. There can be high blood pressure and heart problems with these chemicals causing heart attack, stroke or even death. The bitter orange juice can use to inhibit metabolism of many drugs which can cause risk of adverse effects.
The dietary supplements are less rigorous than pharmaceutical drugs as there is high amount of bitter orange in it than its description which can increase risks of adverse effects. You should not use bitter orange if you have heart problems, high blood pressure or cardiovascular problems. The bitter orange should not be taken with medications like monoamine oxidase which speed up the heart rate. The safest way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is very good in losing weight as it can provide energy to the body and provide feelings of fullness which decreases the cravings for carbohydrates and sweets. But there is no such study made which shows that coconut oil is good for weight loss as some people think that it can increase weight. There are 120 calories in one tablespoon and 13 grams of fat.

Apple cider vinegar
The apple cider vinegar for weight loss is not very effective. Some people think that it can curb your appetite, reduces cravings and burn more fat if it is taken before meals but these claims are not true.
There is high acid content in the apple cider vinegar which can irritate your throat if it is taken in large amounts. There is also interaction of apple cider vinegar with drugs including diuretics. There can be quick and easy results if apple cider vinegar taken with fad diets.
